There were certain rules that you as a villain have to follow if you want to be successful. Lex Luthor knew these rules well. The first, one which he’d kept for a very very long time, was to avoid attachment. More specifically to avoid becoming attached to anyone. You should encourage others to like you, if they liked you, if they owed you, then they would do what you wanted and what you needed. But caring for others only led to weaknesses.

Lex had no one that he cared for or trusted. No living family, no lover to warm his bed. Not that that had ever been a priority for him. The closest Lex had to a ‘friend’ was his android Mercy, an android he created. Lex supposed that the closest relationship he had was with Superman. Their antagonistic relationship where he tried to kill Superman and Superman tried to have him arrested was the most socializing outside of work Lex did per month.

A lonely life perhaps but one that Lex reveled in. He had what he wanted and what he didn’t have he could get with his power. Lex was able to follow that first rule of villainy up until one raining evening just outside Metropolis. His car was going towards his home when something crashed through the glass roof window. Something being a glowing teenager. He had white hair and bright green eyes and he was wearing what appeared to be some sort of jumpsuit.

He landed right in Lex’s lap, covered in wounds and emaciated. Three moments after he landed a bright halo of light appeared around his torso before spreading out. Suddenly, laying there on his lap was a human teenager, bleeding red blood and reaching unconsciousness.

“Sorry.” He said right before passing out.

Mercy had stopped the car, as she’d been programmed to do. Lex looked down at the meta teenager with a thoughtful look on his face.

“Mercy, continue home and contact Dr. Matthews. He has a new patient in serious condition.”

“Yes sir.”

It took a full day of rest for the unnamed meta to wake up. When he did Lex was there, introducing himself and offering comfort and safety. The boy introduced himself as ‘Adam’, a fake name obviously but Lex didn’t call him out on it. Lex made no reference to the boy’s meta-abilities. Instead, he offered a place to rest and recuperate and all of the food the boy could consume (which was a lot). Through his security cameras he saw the boy’s uncontrollable powers, new he guessed.

It took only a week for the boy to break down and use his powers in front of Lex. Once that happened the flood gates opened. Danny was his real name, and his parents had tried to kill him once they found out about his powers. Lex learnt about the source of the powers and Danny’s lack of control. His plan was going along perfectly.

Lex didn’t know much about powers, but from those he talked to with them, the key to control was practice. So, Lex built a training room for the half-ghost to practice. Then, when he destroyed that, Lex built a stronger one. (He used plans from an old ‘trap Superman’ room. Lex always appreciated being able to recycle things.) Soon, really once Danny recovered completely, a schedule arose. In the mornings, Danny and Lex would have breakfast together. Lex would quiz the boy on different things. Anything from strategy to science to history to literature. Then Lex would go to work. Danny would stay in the home and spend the morning studying. Lex wasn’t going to have a stupid tool, so the boy had an online coursework to learn what he needed to know.

Then Lex would usually receive a message from Danny around lunch time. The boy would let him know how his lessons were going and ask how his work was. Lex didn’t tell Danny to message him, he also didn’t tell him to stop. Something inside of him enjoyed the unsolicited attention. Danny was asking not because he had to but because he wanted to. He was curious, he cared about Lex.

After lunch the boy would use Lex’s computer simulations to train with his powers. He worked his muscles and his reflexes against training simulators and pushed his abilities to their limit. When Lex got home around dinner Danny would be waiting for him eagerly to talk about how his training was going. They would have dinner together. At first those dinners were solely focused on the boy’s abilities and health. But they expanded.

Danny would ask about Lex and Lex would indulge him, telling him stories from his life. Danny would reciprocate. Lex found that, beyond having very useful powers, Danny also possessed intelligence, curiosity, and eagerness in spades. Without realizing it Lex started to feel rather fond of the boy. He reminded him of Lex’s younger years before the trials that had shaped him into the man he was. Young and full of passion.

The months passed and they grew closer. Lex learnt about Danny’s two best friends that knew about his accident and with whom he had kept in contact. Danny met Mercy and even visited Lex’s office a few times to see him at work. Since the boy could turn invisible Lex had no way of knowing how often that actually was. He started to try and teach the boy strategy. How to defeat his enemies and how to control and manipulate. He didn’t teach Danny too much, he wouldn’t want to make a tool more powerful than Lex himself.

Daniel was an apt pupil up until the point that Lex suggested using his powers for personal gain. The teen’s vehement denial of using his powers that way was peculiar. Didn’t Danny see what his powers could do? What that sort of power and control could mean for him, for them both? With Lex’s tutelage and guidance, they would be unstoppable. Lex tried everything he could think of.

Every evening for dinner it became a test to see if he could shake Danny of his morals, of his will. But Danny remained resolute. Every time he argued for the right thing. He wanted to be kind. He wanted to help. Not to abuse and harm. Lex realized a little too late that he had accidentally taken in a hero and nothing about that would change. There were some heroes who could be convinced of the error of their ways but then there were those like Superman, like Danny.

Abruptly he saw his future. Danny would soon put on a suit and try and fight evil. Lex wouldn't be able to stop him from doing it. Unless Lex started to torture him and break him down piece by piece. Lex recoiled from the idea of harming Danny. The idea of anyone harming him was wrong. It was then that he realized what had happened.

Lex had been sitting in his office, planning out his next ‘kill Superman plan’ when it hit him right in the face.

“I’ve become accustomed to him.”

He’d grown used to Danny. Grown to like his presence in his life. Meals were no longer necessities for him but rather something to enjoy and savor. Conversations and laughter filled his life where there had been silence. He had loved the silence, reveled in being untouched and untouchable. But now? Now he’d adapted to Danny, and he did not wish to return to how things were previously.

how you can use social media in a healthy way

what use do you want to make of social media?

which apps do you want to keep using and which not (or reduce their consumption)?

how much time are you spending on it? how much do you want to spend on it?

establishes limits of use:

you can activate or deactivate certain applications when you are no longer using them so that they do not distract you or add a time limit depending on how much time or how many days a week you want to use the app.

how to set the time of use?:

ios:

settings > usage time > limit app usage > add limit

you can also limit apps only in focus, work, do not disturb or whatever mode you have set.

settings > focus > the category in which you want to activate it > focus filters

android:

settings > well-being and parental controls > set time for your apps

pros and cons:

make a list of where social media is good for you and where it is bad for you. anything that is hurting you stop watching or following.

value your real time:

not having social media or having control over it brings you more in your life and personal growth. for example, how many of us have woken up and the first thing we have done was to look at instagram or another social network and that has made us lose time of our morning? instead you can do a short meditation or breathing to start the day off right, it also reduces stress and anxiety.

just think about how much you spend a week being stuck in social media and imagine what activities you could develop in that time.

other tips:

look for an activity you would like to try

socialize more with your friends

keep your cell phone away from you or in a “do not disturb” or “concentration” mode when you are engaged in an activity

spend more time in nature

uninstall or deactivate those apps that no longer benefit you, try it for a while.

don't take anything personally from what people may share there.

conclusions:

when you have a routine, things to do, you don't pay as much attention to being online all the time, so it's not such a hard task. i'm not saying stop using your phone but i'm writing this post for all those people who spend all day scrolling or really spend a lot of time watching tik tok or instagram, that's not healthy in the end.

of course you can still use social media but with knowledge and in a way that does not harm you or does not compromise your time too much. the most important thing is not to be glued to a phone watching what others do but enjoy your life.

i always have a minimum of like 5 AU ideas rattling around in my head, but this is the first time I have really drawn those ideas

So, here it is!

I call it the Children in Black AU, where Webby got tired of her brothers’ crap, and decided to learn empathy, they would be sent down to earth as children

Here they are, they have no memory of their pasts as dark gods, they are just human children!

More info below the cut!

So the whole premise is that Webby sent them down to PEIP to be put with families, and they are still all brothers, they just live with different families and have different adopted parents. PEIP knows about their alternate timeline shenanigans so they put them with people who are most connected with them in those alternate universes.

Some bits about their personalities and lives

Blake Woodward/Blinky: Very, very shy, mostly just stares at people. He is taken care of by Bill and his wife, so he and Alice are adopted siblings! Once Bill got divorced when Blake was in middle school, Alice went to live in Clivesdale with her Mom and Blake stayed with Bill. He is a chill kid who love cartoons and tv dramas, like medical, cop, or reality shows. Though, he has always been drawn to the more gruesome and mean spirited sides of these shows. Hopefully the Woodwards can change that.

Theo Spankoffski/Tinky: He is being raised by Ted Spankoffski, so Peter is technically his uncle, but they are the same age (Ted and Pete have a big age gap). Theo is full of energy, always bouncing off the walls and wanting to play games. He loves all kinds of games and playing with other kids, though he gets too rough in these games often. The only thing that will make him sit down for even a second is puzzles, he specifically has a rubix cube that he adores.

Neil Monroe/Nibbly: He was taken in by Gerald and Linda Monroe, and is the oldest of their beautiful blonde boys. He has an insatiable hunger for everything and anything, the least picky eater you will ever meet. He is also quite the biter, often saying that he just “wanted to know what they tasted like”. His parents are working on remedying this, so got him a chewy necklace he can munch on. He is considered the nicest of his siblings.

Patrick Perkins-Matthews/Pokey: He has been taken in by Paul and Emma, just after their marriage (and no, there are no clones or androids in this timeline, just normal human Paul and Emma). He has a constant need to be in the spotlight, and can be a bit of a brat. He loves to sing and act more than anything, and will include other kids in his plays (granted he gets to be the lead). As much as he loves the spotlight, nothing is better than when people work together to make his final musicals beautiful, and as much as Paul hates musicals, he will endure them for Patrick.

Will MacNamara/Wiggly: PEIP knew that Will would be the most difficult, so a recently reformed Wilbur Cross and his partner John MacNamara (they do eventually get married in this AU and Wilbur becomes Wilbur MacNamara) took him in. There is something incredibly creepy about Will, he just never looks or acts quite right. He can be a brat for sure, but Wilbur and John are trying to teach him right. He has a Wiggly doll Wilbur got him as a present (one that doesn’t make people go insane of course) and he clings on to that thing like a lifeline, he won’t go anywhere without it. He has a darkness about him, an anger, a need to control others, but he is still a child, he can learn.

That’s pretty much what it’s all about! Just the hijinks these families get into and the Lords in Black learning how to be good people! I have teenage designs of them too which i’ll post soon.

HC that if Lore amicably stayed on the Enterprise both him and Data would move into family style quarters and he’d work for Guinan at Ten Forward as a bar keep/occasional table runner.

It starts out because he has nothing to do, and getting some petty cash gives him a little cushion in case he has another family falling out. What he doesn’t expect is that Guinan becomes the parental figure he was missing.

Everyone else thinks it’s a horrible idea to allow an emotionally unstable android to work customer service. They just barely resolved his whole ordeal with the colony and doesn’t want another case on starfleet hands. But all Guinan sees is potential.

She doesn’t act like he’s a nuisance. Heck, more than anything he reminds her of one of her kids. In the same way she imparts wisdom to the crew, Guinan gives something Lore has always needed. Trust.

So she happily watches as he bickers with crew over incorrect replicator orders, bitter mixed drinks, and general indifferences with the guests. For every situation he overcomes, he gains a better control of his emotions.

Even though Lore doesn’t think the job is that tough, it really tests his limits after a couple work shifts. Some days he just wants to hide away before lashing out during a rush. Guinan is usually there, with a knowing look, and gives him an early break to decompress.

She probs becomes his confidant on many things and a source of comfort when nothing seems to make sense. Sometimes she listening to him vent about his worries, other times Guinan’s just waxing on and recollecting experiences from her long life.

au where eggman adopts sonic

now i know what you’re thinking, “there are already sonic villain aus out there”, but i’m here to tell you, this ain’t no sonic villain au! sonic is still a hero here! the difference is backstory.

the tl;dr is that eggman adopts sonic and tails but they’re not evil and he is, but he’s a good dad anyway

eggman finds little baby sonic (by baby, i mean somewhere in the 4-7 range) all alone on christmas island. the hedgehog doesn’t speak, when asked if he has a family all he does is shake is head, he’s quite obviously abandoned. so eggman adopts this little blue hedgehog! he learns sign language, teaches it to sonic, puts his kid in school, and overall is actually a really good parent. but there is one problem: he’s still evil. he still wants to conquer the planet. sonic disagrees with this. when he fails to convince his dad through words, he ends up taking action and destroying robots. eggdad is not pleased by this, but he supposes that it was inevitable that his kid might not turn out to be evil like him. he still continues his schemes of course, but sonic also continues to stop him. eggman does make sure to program his robots to not target sonic, too.

at some point, eggy creates metal to be an artificial brother for sonic. metal matches sonic’s speed, and is also mute. sonic is overjoyed at his new brother :)

and then he meets tails. the two immediately take a liking to each other, and sonic learns that tails’ situation is similar to how his own used to be. immediately sonic takes tails to eggy and demands he adopt the fox. eggdad accepts and now there are three brothers :)

at some point, sonic and tails arrive on angel island. sonic gets the emeralds punched out of him by knuckles, who has NOT met eggman and just doesn’t like intruders. when eggman learns about this, he’s pissed and steals the master emerald. after this whole situation is resolved, sonic tries to get eggman to adopt knuckles, but knux won’t allow it, so he’s an unofficial brother

at around 12 years old, sonic starts speaking verbally (though in periods of excitement or stress he’ll still go back to sign) (this is just how i headcanon sonic normally but it’s still relevant)

i have the plots written down for a lot of the games, so i’m gonna go through the mainline modern ones briefly

sonic adventure: eggman tries to keep chaos out of sonic’s way, fails miserably

sonic adventure 2 is a fun one! the beginning is mostly the same, eggman finds shadow, sonic gets arrested, etc, but then eggman finds out sonic got arrested and is PISSED, so he has shadow rescue sonic. sonic is pissed about the false arrest and fights shadow, shadow is forced to use chaos control to bring sonic to eggdad before the island explodes, and now sonic is with the dark story for the rest of the plot. eggdad brings sonic to space, tails, knux and amy follow, sonic learns shadow is technically his (uncle? second cousin once removed? it’s one of them, idk which), sonic is NOT launched off the ark bc eggy wouldn’t do that to his son. plot happens, shadow “dies”, and adventure 2 is done!

at some point, eggy finds shadow, and sonic and tails are aware of this. they don’t tell anyone shadow is alive though (and eggman doesn’t tell them about the androids)

sonic heroes happens bc metal thinks he’s better at being evil than eggman, now everyone knows shadow is alive yay, and also sonic and tails are immediately sus of this plan

rush happens too but i don’t know enough about rush to accurately change the plot, but i’m sure the plot changes at least a bit

we’re not gonna talk about 06 bc it gets retconned by itself

unleashed has shadow as the protag instead of sonic

colors is almost entirely unchanged except 1, yacker gets hypnotized in the one cutscene instead of tails, and 2, eggdad did his best to make the amusement park enjoyable for his kids :)

generations! hoo boy! eggman doesn’t get invited to the birthday party (it’s his birthday too) so he causes Issues! oh and shadow gens happens lol

lost world… oh boy. this one is traumatic for everyone involved. there’s less arguing involved, but sonic is still an impulsive dumbass (leading to tails getting kidnapped, which traumatizes sonic and eggdad) and eggy presumably falling to a fiery death (only sonic is around to see this). so sonic is having a Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day all around, and the zeti are also trying extra hard to kill him to spite eggface. luckily it all works out, except that therapy Will Be Required

forces is another fun one! for me ofc, not the characters. infinite betrays eggman early on, locking him up, then also defeats sonic, locking him up too. bc i am merciful, i am reducing the time the war takes down to one month (mainly bc really, that’s more than enough time for everything to go to shit). sonic and eggman are NOT tortured (bc that was just a weird translation thing), but more therapy will def be required. also rookie/gadget saves both sonic and eggman

at some point, eggdad creates sage. he does not intend for sage to become his daughter. but also sonic and tails both know sage from the start, which is relevant for this next bit

frontiers happens next, and really, the main issue is that sage Refuses To Properly Communicate With Sonic. eggy doesn’t want to put his kids in danger so he tells sage not to run any simulations where that happens. in the end though, sonic still has to get involved. and also now there is a Sister :)

tmosth also happens because i fucking love tmosth. the train is sentient which is why sonic gets knocked out

He's quite attentive, and will grab you blankets and hot water bottles even if you don't ask for them, he understands humans are not as visceral as androids and gets worried he might have gone overboard.

His personal favourite is his build, he asserts dominance with height and his gaze, he would personally thank his makers for making him this way. He does become insecure at times, especially after speaking to Connor. He's built to be an improvement on him but sometimes feels as if he is obsolete. 9-1-1 - LA Becomes Human (DBH au)

(this is not a full-fledged story, just ideas)

Part 1 : The Buckleys

The Buckleys are the creators of Androids. Once the first androids they branded didn't look so much like humans but once they did, they decided the first human looking android should look like an adult version of their daughter Maddie. The male android was supposed to look like Daniel, but he got sick so they scrapped the idea.

Then as Maddie was fourteen, they lived away from everything, in a small Californian town, and Margaret was still very much affected by Daniel's death, so Philip created a child android looking like Daniel, except it came out with a 'printing default' over the left eye.

Even if the android was made for Margaret, she mostly ignores it and Maddie is the one interacting the most with him.

Maddie didn't like the idea of having a replacement for Daniel, so she gave him a new name : Evan (Based on his unique model EV400).

The android is programmed to act like a child, so she isn't surprised that he seems to seek her parents attention and looks sad when they don't give it to him, or when he seems interested by something new (like biking). She thinks it's part of the programs. But Evan starts to do things that can't be part of his programs, like voluntarily getting damaged, because he noticed Philip only really gives him attention when there's something to fix on him. Or he gets really mad at Maddie when he discovers they let him off during the football game he really wanted to see. And Maddie starts to wonder how much really is in his programs and how much is... new.

So at 16, Maddie starts to really learn about androids and their programmation in order to understand Evan.

Another thing about Evan, is that he doesn't know he's different from the rest of the Buckleys. Philip didn't connect him to internet (he only has access to books and to dvds) and the Buckleys (despite being their creators) do not own any other android in their house. So he thinks that they are just like him. Maddie realizes that when one day, he's looking at pictures of her on the wall and he asks when he will get his new body like she did.

Which is why, at 18, Maddie officially joins Cyberlife, to work on transferring Evan's memories and program in a new, teenage looking, body. There she meets and falls in live with Doug, a prodigy young programmer, who helps her (she's more of an engineer). Together they create Evan 2.0, even if Doug never directly interact with him.

Two years after that, Doug asks Maddie to marry him and to move in with him in Los Angeles and tired of being stuck with her parents, she accepts.

Maddie then slowly sees less and less of Evan as Doug becomes more controlling and violent.

While she is away, the situation deteriorates for Evan. Nothing works anymore to get his parents attention, when he breaks a part, he barely gets a sigh anymore. One day he decides to run away, but the second he meets civilisation, he's hit with the fact that there are android AND humans, and that a lot of humans do not like androids. He also realizes that he's different from the other androids he meets, they are always calm and don't seem to have emotions, whereas he's submerged by them.

With a distress call to Maddie, Evan learns more about their family and about the world. She affirms to him that he IS her brother and that nothing could change that. She also offers to build him a new, young adult body. It's stronger and is able to do more things than the previous ones. Soon after she transfers him, he leaves the states without giving her anymore news for a long time.

Maddie and Doug both get promoted in Cyberlife. When Maddie finally leaves him, she also decides to leave the company to be sure to not cross his path all the time. Instead she starts working in a small repair center in town.

At the same time, Evan travels across the United States. He took out his LED and since he's a unique model, no one can recognize him as an android because of his face. He has a cover story that he uses if he gets caught : he's a prototype police android who's undercover.

Once he got past his anger for the lies, Evan sends Maddie updates about his life and his new jobs or activities as he moves around the country.

Eventually, he settles once he meets Bobby, a recovering alcoholic, struggling with his grief, and who's a firefighter.

i know that you've probably said it somewhere before, but i can't find it, so i wanted to ask- which character is which in Warped Beyond Recognition? i know you've listed off their subject numbers and titles in art, but i am struggling to figure out what actual names belong to which of the kids :(

I've laid it out a few times before; but here are the teenagers once more and how they're coming along in our care (heavy spoilers for the module "Warped Beyond Recognition", if you plan on playing or running it yourself);

Evander Budaj, Subject 01; "The Mech". Can psychically control any machine he can see and understand, including Androids. "Disfavored son" of a high ranking corporate figurehead. Went through an accelerated military training course and didn't come out with very good marks, but had an interest in machinery. Originally built his personality from watching old action movies, but is slowly relearning how to be a real hero with our crew. Learning strength, temperance, and selflessness from Adolfo. Still a bit of a goof, though. :)

Miriam Rios, Subject 02; "The Spider". Can extend her consciousness between multiple detached limbs (both flesh and prosthetic), controlling them apart from herself. Likely an orphan before the company got a hold of her. Had her legs brutally amputated with no anesthetic prior to her warp test, and experienced a mental break that reduced her to pure animal instinct. Has since gotten new prosthetic legs, and is slowly acclimating and finding herself again, through music. Caleb's adoptive daughter.

Billy Wei, Subject 03; "The Director". Was able to mind-control humans and puppet them into doing whatever he wanted. His parents had no hope for his future in theater, so they sold him off to the company for research and testing. We killed him the day we found him. Caleb has since been seeing him out of the corner of their eye, and the last time they saw him, he spoke to them. I don't think Billy's gone for good.

Jonesy Babbitt, Subject 04; "The Dreamer". Can put out psychic illusions, things that are ultimately not there but look and feel extremely real. Can also pull others into imagined alternate realities, trapping them within. Was brought onto the research vessel under false pretenses of earning credits in "academy classes for terraforming". Since rescuing, has become a younger brother to Sparks, living with her full time. Hopes to make better worlds, and into fantasy and medieval stories.

Yu Yin, Subject 05; "The Warp". Body became extremely unstable after her warp test. Anything she touched or interacted with would turn inside out on itself and violently fractal, including flesh. Previously a nun, company bought her from a slave trade to perform tests on. She's since been re-sleeved (had her consciousness uploaded into an entirely different body), and seems to have been stabilized that way. Never wants to participate in space travel again, in fear of losing herself again. We don't blame her. She'll likely find a religious body to dedicate herself to on Ortega Station.

Sonia Ellison, Subject 06; "The Ship". Cybernetically melded to the ship. Can see through the cameras across the ship, close and lock doors, redirect oxygen, and even engage warp drive. Has military intel training, and was at the top of her class in flight school. Was the catalyst in letting the other test subjects escape. Pretty chill with her current self, perhaps even happier as an entire ship now? Sparks handles mechanical upkeep across her new body, and in turn, Sonia does us the favor of acting as our ship while we do our freelancing. Sonia's the real boss, though. ;)

A slight opportunity missed.

So, there’s not a whole lot that I’d change about Hank and Connor’s storyline in Detroit Become Human, but that being said.

The story takes place in 2038, and Hank is a Millennial.

Millennials don’t have that Gen Z knowledge of new technology, but they do have a pretty decent understanding of it and some have healthy skepticism. They aren’t like Boomers, who struggle to adjust to using new tech and fall for more scams. Like AI generated photos and scam emails.

There are Millennial parents that buy IPads for their literal infants and let them get brain rotted, but Hank doesn’t strike me as the type to do that.

I think there’s a missed opportunity to make Lieutenant Anderson the type of Millennial who doesn’t blindly trust new products in tech. He’s like the sensible Millennial who thinks linking your house up to an Alexa to control the lights, appliances, and doors, is dystopian. Literally does not see a point in doing all that.

Bro probably took one look at the Metaverse trailer, knew it was gonna be dog water, and laughed at its failure. Hank probably used to mess with phone scammers like this Officer:

Another change I talked about previously is having Conner be in use before the first deviant case, helping with unrelated cases. That way it feels like the Police have a reason to trust Conner enough to include him in the Cyberlife related cases. It’s highly suspicious for them to insert a police Android during an investigation that could make or break their company.

I would write Hank as still having reservations about using Connor, since he’s skeptical of Cyberlife’s intentions. He thinks Cyberlife is using this walking, talking recording device to mine information from the Police department [Which is true].

You know that scene where Connor scans Anderson’s desk to figure out his interests and break the ice? That would literally just make Hank feel like he’s right about the data mining. I’d have him sit down, not stoked about the android but resigned to deal with it, then get progressively more frustrated by Connor’s attempts to act friendly.

Then Hank stomps to the chief’s office and starts refusing to work with the android. Only to be told he has no choice. Lieutenant Anderson disliking Connor, not just because of what happened to Cole, but because he’s smart enough to think Cyberlife is using him as spyware, would be an interesting factor in their relationship.

I think the turning point where you can actually befriend Hank would be when you show up at his house and sober him up. Because a regular machine would probably just stand in one spot and call an ambulance. But Connor very stubbornly moves Anderson to his bathroom and starts briefing him on the mission once he’s sober.

One would assume this android is programmed to wait for an ambulance and confirmation that Hank’s okay, then request a different human cop to help with the investigation that night. But Connor’s actions are much more human and “illogical” than that.

He’s impatient and stubborn, two traits that Cyberlife androids aren’t programmed with. Maybe the Traci Models, but 9 times out of 10, impatient and stubborn androids are bad for business. Any adult should know that, Hank included.

The meaner interrogation could have been written off as Cyberlife programming a bunch of dialogue into Connor based on cases and movie scenes. That was at work, and for all Anderson knows, Connor was always programmed to be able to intimidate criminals. But it’s a lot harder to write off an Android dragging you to the bathtub and refusing to take no for an answer about investigating that night.

That’s human. Illogical, stubborn, overstepping his bounds… and human. Leaving the car at the murder scene, despite being commanded to stay, could have been written off as Connor’s spyware programming too. Not attitude or impatience. But in retrospect, it would make sense as part of his personality too.
